Downfield 1-2 Lochee United
Lochee United kicked off their pre-season programme with a victory over Midlands League side Downfield.
On a swelteringly hot summer’s evening neither side was able to break the deadlock in a goalless first half. New recruit Harry Welsh put us a goal to the good as the game began to open up in the second 45. A Downfield equaliser soon followed but Lochee United snatched a victory right at the death with a winner from fans’ favourite Paul Scobie returning for his second spell at the club.
A good workout for the players and a positive start to our preparations for the season ahead.
